So I watched La La Land 3 (update, 4 ) times and honestly it's one of my favourite movies ever! Not only do I love the messages the movie has to offer but also the music is fantastic, the pictures are so vivid and bright and the acting is amazing!
I need to talk about this movie because there are some core messages which have been following me for a long time now. I think you all agree if I say that dreaming and dreams in general is kind of the main theme in this movie and oh boy did this movie talk right to my heart.
So I know we all have these dreams and we all fight for them. But sooner or later reality comes around and crushes them. It's devastating because as kids we all have these amazing ideas which are so unique and, yes out of this world, but they are one of the most beautiful things that exist. As soon as we get into the age where we learn, people tell us to get rid of these utopian ideas. As soon as our dreams vanish, we just start to live these lifes that resemble the ones of a roboter. Everything has to function in a very fast pace and as soon as you mention a dream of yours, people laugh at it, telling you it's no achievable. So La La Land made me think about these dreams and ideas everyone of us has. It made me believe that we can achieve everything if we really want and if we're passionate about them. Passion is so important in our todays life to keep us going and to let us be human again. But our future is made out of efficiency and it's become a cold place where we throw our individuality away.
La La Land gave me hope to believe in my dreams and no matter if they're silly or not, they are something that make me human. They are here to be achieved and if we would all just believe in them a little more, maybe this world wouldn't be so isolating and lonely.
Passion is beautiful and inspires people all around the world. So let's hold on to those dreams, let's become dreamers again and finally be human.
